DORCHESTER Town have signed promising goalkeeper Ryan Hall on an initial one-month loan from Aldershot Town.

Hall, who has just turned 22, has National League experience with the Shots and joins the Magpies as a replacement for Harry Lee.

After Lee was recalled by parent club Exeter City this week, Dorchester boss Glenn Howes worked hard to get Hall's deal over the line in time for the shot-stopper to make a possible debut at Gosport tomorrow.

Speaking to Echosport about the move, Howes said: "I had to charge my phone up about five times (on Wednesday), the amount of phone calls we've been making.

"We should have him for Saturday, he's got good experience at this level and he's attached to a National League club, a professional club.

"He's got a significant number of appearances under his belt."

Hall links up with Dorchester having risen to prominence on the Isle of Wight, playing as a teenager for Wessex League side Newport.

He came through Aldershot's academy before signing his first professional deal in 2020.

Hall has since enjoyed loan spells with Dorchester's fellow Southern League sides Wimborne, Beaconsfield and Hayes & Yeading.
