DORCHESTER Town goalkeeper Ryan Hall has been recalled by parent club Aldershot Town.

Lloyd Thomas, currently with Poole and formerly of Weymouth and Wimborne, will fill in for the Magpies on a short-term basis.

Hall played just four times for the Magpies but made a big impact, keeping clean sheets in Dorchester’s wins over Salisbury and Met Police.

Hall returns to the Shots following an injury to Luca Ashby-Hammond, on a season-long loan at Aldershot from Premier League side Fulham.

Speaking to Echosport, Dorchester first-team coach Brian Churchill described Hall’s recall as “devastating” for the Magpies.

He said: “Ryan’s been recalled, which is devastating for us. The Aldershot keeper got injured.

“It’s a major blow for us. It’s really settled us down having someone of his stature in goal.

“More pleasing was the way he fitted into the group and integrated with everyone. He’s a real nice lad.

“It’s a real shame that he’s had to be recalled. That’s the nature of having loan players and you take that risk when you do sign them.”
