DORCHESTER Sports have signed midfielder Mo Hereka to their first-team setup.

Hereka makes the step up after a successful period with the club’s reserve side, having opted to leave Chris Herbst’s revamp at Step 6 side Bridport.

Weymouth Under-23 maestro Hereka goes straight into Sports squad for the Jewson Dorset Premier League home clash with Bridport Reserves on New Year’s Eve (1.30pm).

Speaking to Echosport, Sports’ boss Ash James said: “Mo’s signed from Bridport and we’ve been really impressed with him.

“He’ll make his debut on Saturday. It happened through a few players that play for Weymouth Under-23s who also play for us.

“We had him come to training and he looked a real threat coming in off the right-hand side and cutting in on his left foot.

“That was an easy one to get that done. That’s a good signing for us going into the new year.”
