DORCHESTER Town's trip to Harrow Borough has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.

The Magpies were looking to take a fifth league win from six games.

They must now wait until Tuesday night at home to Beaconsfield to attempt that feat (7.45pm).

No new date for the fixture has yet been agreed.

Meanwhile, the Magpies are still waiting to hear the verdicts on red cards given to boss Glenn Howes and assistant James Wood.

Howes’ men are flying in fifth place, having taken four wins from their last five league games.

They were set to visit a Harrow side struggling in 18th but boasting victories over Poole and Swindon Supermarine.

And those results are cause for concern for Dorchester, who are looking to do the double over Boro following a 3-2 comeback win earlier this season.

Churchill told Echosport: “As always, we’ve done our due diligence on Harrow and having already played them, they are unpredictable.

“They’ve had some great results and some not so good results. They’ve beaten Poole at home, drew away at Hayes, beat Swindon, so we’ll need to be at our best to get anything up there.

“We just concentrate on what we’re in control of, when we’re in possession and be in a good shape when we’re out of possession.

“We’re fortunate that both Shaq (Gwengwe) and Jordan (Ngalo) came through last weekend unscathed.”

Alex Moyse (ankle) remains out and Dorchester will be without Olly Balmer after the striker completed a move to Bashley on Wednesday.

“It’s really difficult for Olly,” Churchill said. “He’s a particular type of player, different to anything we had.

“Getting him in to the team proved difficult for Glenn. He just wants to play football, Bashley offered him that opportunity.

“After a long discussion with Glenn, a mutual agreement, it was thought Olly’s best route was to go and get some games and play for Bashley.

“We’ve got a number of forwards and they’re all firing, so really difficult for Olly to get game time.”

Asked if Dorchester could replace Balmer, Churchill replied: “We’re short on numbers but what we lack in numbers we’ve got in quality.

“I’m sure if the opportunity arises we’ll look to recruit. At the moment, there’s nothing on the horizon.”
