“CONSISTENCY” is the buzzword for Weymouth manager Bobby Wilkinson going into the Terras’ home contest against Dulwich Hamlet tomorrow (3pm).

Victory over Hampton & Richmond ended a run of five straight Vanarama National League South defeats.

That sequence came after Weymouth collected 13 points in five matches and Wilkinson is now seeking an equilibrium as his side looks to rise from 23rd in the standings.

Speaking to Echosport, he said: “What we spoke about in great depth in training is consistency, that belief that you turn up and perform well.

“You can’t win every game, we know that, but we’re in a battle. It’s about putting smiles on faces of everyone there.

“We’re in a positive mood because we had a fantastic win but football changes overnight.

“From last Saturday, and not being happy for 72 hours, to then being happy it’s why I try and keep balanced no matter what the situation is.”

Weymouth came under the cosh in the last 15 minutes of their 2-1 win over Hampton, and Wilkinson is looking for incremental gains.

“You just look to improve every week,” he said. “We try to make the players better every day and believe in themselves even more.

“Can we be better? Can we stay consistent? Can we have belief? We certainly never like not performing well.

“Everyone’s sticking together to try and get that goal at the end of the season and stay in this division.”

Weymouth are boosted by the return to training of Harry Kyprianou (hamstring), while Teddy Howe was also present for physio work.

Ben Thomson (ankle) and Keelan O’Connell (groin) are out.
