WEYMOUTH manager Bobby Wilkinson praised Slough goalkeeper Will Dennis for making numerous “world-class” saves after the Terras beat the Rebels 2-0.
Bournemouth loanee Dennis played 22 games for Weymouth while on a youth loan in the 2017/18 season.
And he showed his pedigree with a wondrous full-length diving save to keep out Max Hemmings’ sweet low strike from 25 yards out.
He also denied a thunderous Tom Bearwish volley, bravely blocked Ahkeem Rose at point-blank range and thwarted a potential own goal by Shane Bush.

But he could not prevent defeat against his former side as Bearwish’s penalty and a close-range strike from Brad Ash gave Weymouth a crucial victory in their quest for survival.
However, his efforts did not go unnoticed by Wilkinson.
“Their keeper must’ve got man-of-the-match for them,” he said. “He made some world-class saves.
“I have to say, what a future that boy’s got. The way he conducted himself in goal, I’m never afraid to praise opposition players.
“He was absolutely outstanding. I speak to Bournemouth quite a lot and the first thing I’ll be saying is: ‘What a keeper’.
“He deserves the credit. He was brilliant but I’m proud of how many chances we made.”
