HONOURS went to Mark Bonnett as the men’s and ladies’ sections of Came Down Golf Club held their Bogey Cup competitions.

The winner of the Dorchester Bogey Cup was Bonnett with a score of plus two.

Bonnett went out in three under par before hitting a stunning level par (gross) back nine of plus five.

Runner-up was Gareth Hughes at plus one who edged out Raj Lehal on countback.

In fourth was Andy Lawes finishing on level par, with Tony Howe in fifth and James Burleigh in sixth place.

However, the story of the competition belonged to one man.

Playing the 15th hole, Chris Skinner played a majestic iron shot, which found its way into the cup for a rare hole-in-one.

In the ladies’ competition, Sue Cox emerged the overall winner taking the Mrs Lewis Holloway Bogey Cup with a score of plus one.

Cox fended off competition from Jill Adams and Sue Stokey in Division One.

Mary Crampton’s round of level par was the best in Division Two, beating Sue Royle and Carolyn Pike.

Jan Steadman carded one under to win Division Three on countback from Cathy Williams, with Gayle Laybourn in third place.
