WINGER Tom Blair has confirmed his departure from Weymouth.

Blair, 24, joined the Terras on an 18-month deal after exiting National League side Eastleigh.

Former Dorchester winger Blair made 76 appearances for Weymouth in total, scoring six times and providing 17 assists.

Blair excelled for Weymouth in the crucial latter half of last season with a number of outstanding displays, helping the Terras to avoid relegation from the Vanarama National League South.

Four goals and 15 assists came last season, when he finished with the joint second-highest number of appearances (51) along with Tom Bearwish, behind Brad Ash (53).

Blair issued a goodbye statement to Weymouth fans via Twitter.

He said: "@theterras it’s been a pleasure. The club gave me the platform to succeed last season and now it’s time for a new chapter to progress my career.

"Thank you to all the fans, staff and past/present players for all your support, I wish you the very best. Blairo."

Blair is now understood to be seeking full-time football, with agent and former Premier League striker Kevin Davies advertising his services via a 'free agent' banner on Twitter.

Davies said: "I have worked with this chap for over two years now, has everything to play at a higher level.

"This boy has the lot, full-time football he will go up another level."

Blair joins Harrison Bruton, Cameron Murray and Nathan Carlyle in leaving Weymouth this summer.
