DORCHESTER Town’s squad has been challenged to find their quality ahead of a pre-season meeting with Yeovil Town this evening (7.45pm).
Glenn Howes’ men welcome Mark Cooper’s Glovers to the Avenue Stadium for their fifth friendly of the summer.
The fixture has almost become an annual event, with Dorchester holding Yeovil to a 0-0 draw last July.
Yeovil then suffered relegation to the National League South, with many onlookers tipping them for the title in 2023/24.

Consequently, they represent Dorchester’s biggest test of July to date.
Assistant James Wood told Dorchester’s media team: “It will be a quick turnaround and the boys will probably be feeling a bit heavy-legged, but so be it, they have to.
“We have to keep ramping up these minutes now.
“The quality needs to be there. When we played Weston, you’re playing against a very good side and are a lot of people’s tips to win that league this year.
“We know they’re going to be strong, we know the quality that they have so we’ve got to be organised, we’ve got to be competitive.
“We’ve got to work on causing them problems as well. We’ll get our heads down, make sure everyone’s all right and go again.”
Jack Wright, a regular in pre-season, could make his first appearance since completing his Magpies deal on Sunday.
