WEYMOUTH face the acid test against Taunton Town this evening (7.45pm) in their mission to stop the rot at home on Tuesday nights.

The Terras have lost 15 of their previous 18 Tuesday night fixtures in league and cup competitions in front of their own fans.

Manager Bobby Wilkinson is well aware of the statistic as the Terras look to take back-to-back wins following the 1-0 triumph over Dartford.

Weymouth are currently on a run of four home victories in five league games, but Tuesday evenings have long been their Achilles heel.

Wilkinson told Echosport: “The proof will be in the pudding at 9.30pm.

“That’s the difference now, do I make changes or do I keep it?

“If I change it, people will say: ‘Why are you changing?’

“If I don’t change it, people will say: ‘Why haven’t you freshened it up?’

“I’ll look in their eyes and I might make three or four changes, I might not. We’ll have to wait and see.”

Wilkinson added: “I’ve targeted Taunton because they’re the next game, it’s just about being prepared.

“They’re a good side and got beat (on Saturday) so they’re going to want to make up for it.

“It’s just the next game, win your next game. I want to keep humble.

“If we win it, great. If we don’t, let’s pick ourselves up and go again.”

Weymouth will be without long-term injury absentees Tyrique Clarke, Max Hemmings (knee) and Tommy Stagg (shoulder).
