TERRAS boss Bobby Wilkinson said he "set his side up to win" after beating Highworth Town 3-1 in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Weymouth brushed past the side who play in the ninth tier at the Save on Tyres stadium in Wiltshire, with the boss hailing his side's professionalism.

Ezio Touray scored either side of Calvin Brooks' effort to help Terras avoid any potential 'cupset' after the hosts briefly restored parity in the second half through Luke Whelan.

Wilkinson shared: “We gave a professional display.

"We didn’t play pretty football at times, but I didn’t set us up to do that, I set us up to win.”

Wilkinson said he did his research on the ground due to its slope and balanced this with his choice of midfielders.

He continued: “I had two holding midfielders today who were big and strong when they delivered the ball down into the box.”

Touray's opener had sent the Terras into the break 1-0 up, only for Whelan to level scores inside 10 minutes of the restart.

Brooks put the away side back in the late, before Touray made sure of the result late on from the spot, sending Weymouth two wins away from another trip to the first round.

Wilkinson explained just how important keeping FA Cup hopes alive is to him personally, after having guided Terras to FA Cup proper last season.

He explained: “I wanted to continue because it was my first cup run last year, to the first round (for the first time) in 17 years.

"If I can help the football club out, and I can help the fans out I will be pleased.”

The Terras boss went on to say that he was ‘up against it’ with injuries, following three forced changes to O’Connell, Rollinson and Cheshire.

“Today I couldn’t tactically change what I wanted to," the Terras boss restarted.

"We just had to make the changes through the injuries.”

Wilkinson confirmed that all three players will need assessing prior to Saturday's National South clash with Chippenham.
