BALTI Sports’ boss Marco Nott has described Days Park as an “extremely tough” place to go ahead of their meeting with Swanage Town & Herston tomorrow (3pm).

Nott’s men have not tasted victory in the Dorset Premier League since mid-September and have slipped back to 10th in the table following a promising opening.

However, in a tight mid-table, Balti could leapfrog the seventh-placed Swans with victory, although Nott knows the difficulty tariff is high.

He told Echosport: “Days Park is an extremely tough place to go, no matter when you play them.

“It’s just one of those grounds that has got that nostalgia about it. I’m looking forward to going down there and hopefully we can give it our best shot.

“Obviously, they’re doing well and seem to have picked up.”

He added: “We had that cup win a few weeks ago but our league form is a little but iffy at the moment, so it would be nice to pick up a win.

“We’re sat tenth at the moment and there’s not much between the teams. It’s very much work in progress this season but it breeds confidence by winning games.”

Balti have a selection headache for the contest, as outlined by Nott.

He said: “We’ve had 16 every single week at least but this week we’re looking a little short.

“Louis Gear, Fin Jarvis, James Hansford, Sami Nichols, Ethan Devaney and Oscar Preece are away but we’ve got Carl McClements back.

“That’s one plus because his experience is vital. We’re looking to try and add a few late additions.”

Jake Hawker returns and Weymouth Under-23s talent Alfie Stone could be set for more game time, but striker Derek Wall serves the final match of a three-game suspension.
