TERRAS manager Bobby Wilkinson stressed how it was important that his side did not lose after failing to find a way to beat Havant & Waterlooville in National South action, the game ending in a 1-1 draw.

An early own goal had given Terras the lead in Hampshire, before James Roberts restored parity from the spot.

“It’s a fair result because I don’t think we particularly played well,” Wilkinson explained to Terras’ social media.

“Especially second half. I thought we done some good things first half, took the early lead and then we give away a sloppy penalty away.

“Little bit disappointed about that. I just don’t think we played particularly well.

“I just said to the boys there, take a point on the road and try and win your home game next week.

“See if we can get four points in this week.

“I just don’t think we particularly played well. Literally, what we did was dug in to take a point.

“If you can’t win it, certainly don’t lose it.

We were a little bit worried that we might lose it at the end there.

“That’s what I just said to the boys, ‘I know you’re disappointed, I know you want to win coming into these games, but on paper they’re an excellent side.’

“We certainly came here and had a go. But we didn’t play well.

“I come out and praise my boys all the time – I will praise them for digging in and not losing, but let’s get back to the drawing board again on Monday, work hard, ready for the game next week.”
