TERRAS boss Bobby Wilkinson is targeting a win over Welling United to supplement his side’s point last time out at Havant & Waterlooville.

Weymouth shared the spoils away in Hampshire last Saturday, Terras unable to capitalise upon the National South’s bottom side’s poor form.

Welling are another side currently occupying a relegation spot in the sixth tier, the Wings sitting in 22nd, six points behind 18th placed Weymouth with a game in hand on the Terras.

Last season, Terras completed a league double over Welling, winning home and away 2-1, as well as a 3-0 victory in the third qualifying of the FA Cup at the Bob Lucas.

The Bob Lucas will play host to Saturday’s contest (3pm), with Wilkinson hoping a week of hard work in training will bode well for his charges.

He told Weymouth’s social media: “Same as every week – work extremely hard. We’ll be doing a fitness session on Monday, be recovering them on Monday.

“And then back to training on Thursday, working on shape, working on a very difficult game next week.

“But we’re at home, so let’s have a go next week and see if we can get another three points on the board.

“Can we get four points in a week? That’s the target for the boys this week.”

After 15 National South games, Weymouth have 17 points, leaving Terras four points and three spots above the relegation zone.

Terras have two home games in the span of four days, as after hosting Welling this weekend, they welcome Bath City to the Bob Lucas Stadium on Tuesday, November 7.
