Sam Charles netted both goals for the Blues but the result was academic as The Three Ells Trust proved to be the real winners.

Darren Whyton told Echosport: “Helen Naerger, who is the Three Ells Trust boss, is a really close friend of our family.

“She came up and thanked me personally, she had a bit of a tear in her eye. It’s really close to our hearts.”

The event is expected to continue in 2024.
