DORCHESTER Town's Pitching In Southern League Premier South match at Tiverton Town has been postponed.

Tivvy called the game off after a 9am pitch inspection revealed the Ladysmead surface to be waterlogged.

The development is the latest in a spate of postponements for the Magpies this season, which has led to a splintered fixture list.

In a statement, Tiverton thanks head groundsman Gordon Curtis for his hard work in attempting to ready the playing surface.

The Yellows said on X, formerly Twitter: "Today's game against @DorchTownFC is off.

Despite the hard work from Gordon and the team, the pitch is completely soaked.

"New date to be announced shortly."

Prior to the New Year's Day fixtures, Dorchester occupied 20th, four points and five places behind Tiverton, managed by ex-Magpies' boss Leigh Robinson.
