DORCHESTER Town have added midfielder Tyrique Clarke and defender Harvey Hughes to their ranks.

Clarke, 22, arrives on a dual-registration deal with rivals Weymouth.

The ex-Poole man, who has previously worked with current Magpies' boss Tom Killick, is yet to feature for Weymouth’s first team this season after recovering from a serious knee injury.

The Terras signed the midfielder in the summer in full knowledge of his injury situation, for which Weymouth have sent Clarke to St George’s Park for treatment.

Clarke has so far this season been an unused substitute for Weymouth against Torquay United and Dover Athletic.

He adds cover for the Magpies on a week-by-week basis with skipper Jordan Ngalo (hamstring) set for a short spell on the sidelines.

Dorchester boss Tom Killick said: "I am pleased to bring Tyrique in on a dual registration from Weymouth.

“He is predominately a central midfielder and with Jordan’s current injury it’s good to strengthen in that area.

"It’s being done on a week-to-week basis and I am grateful to Weymouth for their co-operation and support in getting it sorted."

Weymouth added: "Bobby (Wilkinson, boss) confirmed Tyrique remains a part of the club's plans and the move is primarily to allow the young midfielder to gather more game time."

Meanwhile, the Magpies have also secured the services of former Portsmouth full-back Hughes.

The 20-year-old has already had stints at Lewes and AFC Totton this season and provides cover at left-back after the departure of Louie Slough to Taunton.

Killick added: "I am pleased to have Harvey on board as he provides us with another left-sided player.

"He is young and dynamic with a great left foot and I feel he is another good acquisition."

Clarke and Hughes are available for Dorchester’s home game with Hungerford tomorrow (3pm).

It means Clarke could feature for Dorchester Town before Weymouth, despite having been at the club since May.
