BALTI Sports go searching for their first win of 2024 when Swanage Town & Herston visit Cranford Avenue tomorrow (2pm), weather permitting.

Marco Nott’s men have tasted defeat in five consecutive Dorset Premier League games, slipping to 12th in the table, while an improved Swanage side occupy seventh.

In mitigation for Balti, four of those losses came against sides in the top six, but Nott revealed talks had taken place at training to elevate his squad’s performance.

He told Echosport: “We had a bit of a chat and we need to start stepping up. It’s not for the want of trying and we’re in games a lot.

“But we just go through these periods of 15-minute madness where we seem to go from being in a game to out. We’ve got to cut that out.”

On Swanage, Nott added: “They’re a stronger team this year, they changed manager in the summer and improved results.

“I know they’re trying to push to go up and they’re going in the right direction.”

Balti are boosted by the return of star striker Derek Wall, plus Matt Chambers and Harrison Wallis but Carl McClements, Sol Roche, Harry Rupp and Fin Jarvis miss out. Marcus Biles could return.
