TOM Killick believes Dorchester Town could take a “powerful position” in the race to stay up, should they beat Tiverton Town this afternoon (3pm).

The Magpies welcome Leigh Robinson’s men to the Avenue Stadium with the sides third and fourth in the five-game form table.

Tiverton moved out of the bottom four on Saturday and are two points above the drop zone, while the 12th-placed Magpies are seven points adrift.

Killick told Echosport: “If we can get a win, it puts us in an unbelievably powerful position, so that’s all we’re focusing on.

“They’re doing very well, they’ve speculated to accumulate. They’ve signed players, spent money, trying to give themselves the best chance.

“Fair play to them. Now, they’re reaping the rewards. They’ve got some very good attacking players in particular.

“They’re a solid side. On current form, they’re in a very good place. We know it’s not going to be easy.”

Corby Moore (head) is a major doubt after requiring up to 30 stitches, while Harry Redknapp Jr could make his debut.
