DORSET defender Brennan Camp has been released by National League side Eastleigh, following the unveiling of the Spitfires’ player retention list.

Camp joined the Silverlake Stadium side in 2022 after exiting AFC Bournemouth.

While at the Cherries, the Portland full-back enjoyed a 34-game loan spell at Weymouth and also spent time with Dorchester Town as a teenager under then Magpies boss Steve Thompson.

However, an operation limited Camp’s time with Eastleigh this season and the Hampshire side has opted not to retain his services.

Taking to social media, Camp said: “(A) season like no other. The toughest of my career so far, not the way I wanted things to end but I’ve met friends for life and memories I won’t ever forget.

“To the fans, who have given me nothing but love from the day I joined, thank you! Onto the next chapter.”

Eastleigh have offered contract extensions to two fellow former Terras, as centre-back Corey Panter and goalkeeper Tommy Scott assess their futures.

Highly-rated centre-half Panter played 13 times on loan at Weymouth this season, providing one assist, while Scott made one appearance in the 2-1 win at Dover in the 2021/22 campaign.
