Dorchester take on Tiverton in the Southern League Premier this evening (7.45pm).

The Magpies make the 120 mile round trip into Devon today as they look to build on their opening day draw with Havant & Waterlooville.

However, The Magpies will be without Gerard Benfield for the clash after being was forced off at the weekend through injury.

The player had only just joined the club from Weymouth on a season-long loan.

It has been revealed the the keeper went to hospital to be treated for a dislocated finger and will not return to the team for several weeks whilst it heals.

Speaking on the club's social media, assistant manager Glenn Howes said: "Unfortunately we lost Gez, who I thought had fitted in seamlessly considering he had only been with us for a couple of days.

"He has gone to hospital to get his finger looked at - it is a dislocation.

"Depending on how bad it is we are looking at a couple of weeks."
