Dorchester Town assistant manager Glenn Howes has praised young goalkeeper Noah Crisp after making his league debut for the club.
The young Magpies keeper was 'thrust into the spotlight' at the last minute to play Tiverton on Tuesday night (August 13) after Gerard Benfield dislocated his finger against Havant & Waterlooville on Saturday (August 10).
Benfield had only just joined the club on a season-long loan from Weymouth and is likely to be out for several weeks - meaning Crisp will be deputising in his absence.- after joining the club this week.
A former AFC Bournemouth academy player, he also has Southern League experience at Sholing last season.
The keeper has impressed on trial at The Avenue during pre-season having featured in a number of friendlies for the club.
Noah signed up with the club last week and has also joined Wessex Premier League side Bournemouth on dual-registration who he started for on Saturday.
Howes was full of praise for Crisp after the 1-1 draw with Tiverton.
Speaking to Echosport, he said: "Noah is a young lad who is trying to find his feet at senior football after his release from Bournemouth.
"He has been thrust into the spotlight and should be proud of his performance.
"He did exceptionally well at the end of the game and his distribution will be an asset to the club and we are pleased to have such a young talented lad at the club."
