Dorchester Town assistant manager Glenn Howes says his side 'did not do enough' in their 2-0 defeat to Basingstoke at the weekend.
The Magpies coach was in the dugout for a third successive game as Tom Killick remained absent due to illness.
Despite being pleased with the club's opening two games of the season against Tiverton and Havant and Waterlooville, the Magpies assistant was less than pleased with Saturday's performance.

Speaking to Echosport, he said: "Clearly it was not the result we wanted or the performance on that front.
"We gave a good account of ourselves from the first two games and deserve more from them.
"But on Saturday that was not the case - we should have done better in and out of possession.
"We knew the task at hand and we knew what we had to do but we did not do enough to warrant anything out of the game."

There was one positive that the Magpies coach could draw from the weekend's game though, with the return of last season's top scorer to the staring eleven a welcome sight.
Shaq Gwengwe made his first start of the campaign for the trip up to Basingstoke and almost got himself on the score sheet when his second half strike came bouncing back off the post.
Howes added: "It was a small positive for Shaq to get a good amount of minutes and he came out of the game unscathed and in good condition.
"He looked sharp and he went through once or twice and cracked the post but it is a welcome boost."
