Dorchester Town manager Tom Killick has spoken of his 'disappointment' at not being involved with the club's start to the season.

The Magpies boss missed the the club's first three games of the season against Havant & Waterlooville, Tiverton and Basingstoke after contacting sepsis and spending time in hospital.

As reported, the club announced that Killick was released from hospital last week and has been recovering at home.

The Magpies boss is now keen to get back in the dugout against Gloucester this weekend.

Speaking to Echosport he said: " I came out of hospital on Thursday (August 15) and I have definitely got better and I will be at the game on Saturday.

"It has been desperately disappointing to have not been involved.

"I have not been with the team since Bashley in pre-season, so it's been a long time and I have missed it and it will be good to get back."

When asked to give his thoughts on how the team has done in his absence, he added: "The performance was pretty good against Havant who are undoubtedly going to be one of the strongest teams  in the league.

"Then we went away to Tiverton and by all accounts we were not clinical enough but again the performance was pretty good.

"The overwhelming disappointment from the three matches was Basingstoke where not only did we lose, but we were not really anywhere near where we needed to be in terms of our levels."
