It has been confirmed that Dorchester Town defender Harry Redknapp Jnr will likely miss the season after an injury sustained in pre season.
Magpies boss Tom Killick has confirmed that Redknapp Jnr sustained damage to his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in a pre-season friendly.
The highly-rated defender, who spent a spell on loan at the club from AFC Bournemouth last season, became a permanent signing for the club in the summer but will now be sidelined for months and requires surgery.
Speaking to Echosport about Redknapp Jnr's injury, Killick said: "He has damaged his ACL and he is going to need surgery.
"He is likely to be out for the whole season but he is showing great strength of character and has a lot of support from the club and his family.
"Hopefully can have the operation relatively quickly and get back to to the same levels he was at, if not stronger."
