WILDCATS' chairman Phil Bartlett is fuming after being forced to call off tonight's scheduled chall-enge meeting with the Swindon Sprockets at the Wessex Stadium.
The Elite League play-off semi-finalists have pulled out of tonight's fixture at the last minute citing a lack of riders for their decision.
This has left the Wildcats without a home fixture this week in the vital run-up to the Conference League two-legged play-off semi-final with Plymouth Devils next weekend.
Bartlett, who has been in constant touch with the Swindon promotion team over the last two weeks, was left fuming over the events and is dismayed that the Conference League clubs are treated with such disdain by the sports' leading lights.
An angry Phil Bartlett said: "I made numerous phone calls on Wednesday to riders and promoters across the country trying to put a meeting together but it was all in vain.
"It looks like there will be no competitive speedway for Cats' fans this week, although an impromptu training session for the team may well go ahead tonight."
The Wildcats hit the road to Hertfordshire tomorrow for their final Conference League fixture when they face Rye House Cobras (7pm).
