WEYMOUTH could go top of Dorset & Wilts One South tomorrow afternoon if they beat Swanage & Wareham Seconds at Monmouth Avenue (3pm).

The Seasiders currently lie second on points difference behind Salisbury Seconds, who are without a game this weekend.

But Weymouth skipper Tony Worle is expecting a tough test tomorrow.

He said: "I'm looking forward to it but it will be a tough game. In fact, we've got another tough game the week after against Bridport so we're under no illusions as to how tough the next two weeks will be.

"Having said that we're playing well and are reasonably confident."

Adam Poole has been called up from the second XV to replace James Ford who is absent through work commitments. Steve Calbritch is also unavailable tomorrow, but Worle is pleased to be able to call upon the services of Poole. He added: "Adam's a quality player but missed a lot of games last year through illness and injury."

Dorchester return to action with a trip to Frome Seconds in Dorset & Wilts One South (3pm).

While the county town outfit were without a fixture last Saturday, tomorrow's hosts were grinding out a 10-7 victory over North Dorset Seconds - their first win of the season.

Dorchester are undefeated after a 18-6 win over Bridport and 12-12 draw with North Dorset Seconds.

Head coach Mike Sprules though, is looking for an improvement following the stalemate with North Dorset.

He said: "It was a poor display against North Dorset and it was a shame we had a week off in between. The players know they let themselves down so hopefully we'll put it right tomorrow as it was a game we were disappointed to draw."

However, Sprules' side will be without vice-captain John Firkin due to an elbow injury while the only other change sees James Baker earn a recall.

Puddletown are also away from home in Dorset & Wilts One South as they prepare to face North Dorset Seconds (3pm).

The Villagers suffered a late smash and grab at the hands of Warminster six days ago and will be determined to put that right against a side below them in the table and without a win.

Swanage & Wareham travel to unbeaten Wallingford (3pm) looking to bounce back from last weekend's defeat at home to Reading.

The Swans have won one and lost twice in South West Two East this season while their opponents hold a 100 per cent record.

Elsewhere, Bridport visit Sidmouth Seconds in a friendly match.
