Weymouth manager Mark Molesley says his team 'can't wait' to get back into FA Cup action later today (Saturday).
The Terras boss is a huge admirer of the FA Cup, and knows just how important a cup run can be to the Dorset club.
A second qualifying round victory over Sholing in the last round means that Molelsey's side are up against Winchester in this afternoon's fixture in Hampshire.
A win over the Southern League outfit would put Weymouth on the cusp of the first round proper - a feat not achieved since 2022.
Talking about the FA Cup, Molesley said: "Winchester will be a huge challenge, as a good cup run is big for all non-league clubs.
"It's still the best competition in the world for me - even if sometimes it feels like the FA dilute it at times.
"It enables non-league teams to dream of that special tie and the finances of a good run.
"I cant'wait for the game and to be able to continue the good work we have been doing in recent weeks"
Terras fans will be hoping the team can defeat Winchester for place in Monday's fourth qualifying round draw, the final round before teams from the Football League enter.
in 2022, it was AFC Wimbledon who were held to a draw at the Bob Lucas and Terras fans will be dreaming of another glamour tie if they can sneak through the next couple of games.
Kick off at The Simplyhealth City Ground is at 3pm later this afternoon.
