MORE than 100 Year Three pupils enjoyed a specially adapted athletics festival at Dorchester Middle School.
Children from Damers First School, Winterbourne Valley First School and Prince Of Wales First School all made the trip to DMS before being split up into teams.
The 120 pupils then tackled eight events – javelin, target throw, long jump, speed bounce, hurdles, relay, high stepper and strides – under the guidance of Year Eight students from Dorchester Middle.
Both staff and pupils revealed they had a fantastic morning and were highly impressed with the Year Eight sports leaders.
Demelza Roberts, school sports co-ordinator, said: “The Year Three pupils were full of energy and their enthusiasm for activity was a joy to behold while the Dorchester Middle School Year Eight sports leaders were a credit to their PE department and school with high levels of maturity and positivity.”
