WEYMOUTH Under-18s’ joint-managers Jake Richmond and Nick Bennett are delighted to announce two major sponsor deals.

The young Terras have linked up with Sunny Days Nursery and Snookes.

Richmond said: “We are delighted and also very proud to be associated with Sunny Days and welcome them as our main sponsor for the season.

“Our team is completely self-funded and if it wasn’t for the generosity of David Scadden and his team, who have provided £500 and also donated full use of their minibus and fuel costs on away match days, then we would really struggle to keep the team running.

“We cannot thanks Dave enough for his superb contribution to our efforts to develop our young players.”

Scadden, managing director of Sunny Days, said: “We are pleased to sponsor Terras Under-18s young men who I’ve seen training hard to improve their individual and team skills, and we hope our backing will give a boost to the squad.”

The Wessex Stadium club have also been backed by Mark Cottingham, owner of Weymouth Snooker Club, now known as Snookes.

Cottingham has provided the entire squad with much needed training kit in the form of tops, shorts and socks.

The team offered their thanks to Snookes for their continued support and sponsorship and highlighted the importance of backing from local businesses to keep the set up running in the way it does.

Cottingham said: “Snookes is proud to have been able to assist with the development of our young players by way of our sponsorship, and wish the lads continued success this season.”
