NIGEL Biddlecombe has calmed fears that Weymouth FC could face a five-point deduction for alleged third-party payments to players by Wessex Fantasy Football.
The associate director issued a statement on the club’s main website yesterday afternoon.
It reads: “I have noted speculation on the independent message board regarding a potential points deduction and would inform all supporters that – at this moment in time – I, as football secretary, have not received any communication from the Football Association that infers, charges or concludes that the club are to be involved in any action that might lead to such a deduction.”
