WEYSPORTS launched their Project Evolution Parks Project and Bootcamp at Top Club, Littlemoor on Monday night and a large number of children thoroughly enjoyed the activities that took place.
In association with WPBC, Synergy Housing and Royal Marines from Haslar Company Rehabilitation Centre, Project Evolution is a focused initiative for local children and young adults.
WeySports 4 Dorset is a non-profit making company who engage with young people and encourage them to take part in sports and activities in the Weymouth and Portland area.
They are working closely with the local council and other youth groups to develop various programmes that are based on military fitness and outdoor activities, to promote healthy living, community respect and self-discipline.
This unique programme will take place across the park and green areas of Weymouth and Portland, every Monday (for 8-13 year olds) and Wednesday (for 14-16 year olds) from 6pm to 8pm.
Each park session costs £1, but it is hoped that participants will also bring a small voluntary donation of £1, which will go to the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund.
