Under-13 WEYMOUTH 32 OAKMEADIANS 29 TROY Brocklebank and Tyler Craig both scored braces to help Weymouth pull off a fine home win over a strong Oakmeadians side.

The hosts were forced into some last-minute changes and were forced to take to the field with a weakened pack but it did not stop them from producing a fantastic team performance.

The Oaks settled quicker and took a 7-0 lead before Weymouth responded with three unanswered tries.

James Davis and Brocklebank both ran in from halfway before excellent support play from open-side flanker Craig released Rory Legg to drive over from five metres out.

However, the visitors were not finished yet, replying with two simple tries early in the second half to regain the lead at 19-15.

That set up a grandstand finish and Weymouth rose to the challenge with Brocklebank racing on to a deft cross-field kick from Glover to romp home for his second touchdown, which was expertly converted by the confident Davis.

Craig then powered over to add a further five points before the Oaks hit back again with another try to reduce the deficit to just three points.

It was drama of the highest quality and when the away side went over again to lead 29-27 with just minutes to go it looked like they had won it.

However, Craig then pounced on a loose ball and ran in his second try to win Weymouth the game in the dying seconds.
