UPWEY & Broadwey must win all of their remaining six games if they are to stand a chance of realising their dream of Magna Dorset Premier League football next season according to boss Steve Reynolds.

The Weymouth outfit currently sit third in the Dorset Senior League, just three points off the summit, but with five teams still in with a shot of landing the title it appears the race for promotion is going to go down to the wire.

Speaking ahead of tomorrow’s clash at Witchampton United (3pm), who lie fifth, Reynolds told Echo-sport: “We have got to keep winning.

“We have still got a chance to win it but if we don’t then we have got to at least try and finish second because if we do that we will still have a chance of going up, particularly if Portland United Reserves win it as they cannot get promoted.

“We still have to go to Portland and face Witchampton twice, and it is vital we pick up points from those games and win the other three.

“With all the top sides playing each other over the next few weeks it should make for an interesting run-in to the end of the season.”

Don Wellman and Darren Samways are both unavailable for the trip to the Witches while Pete Bochonko remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Weymouth Sports will be out to secure back-to-back victories at Cranford Avenue when they face Gill-ingham Town Reserves (3pm).

Sports beat Piddletrenthide United 3-2 last weekend and joint-boss Chris Hicks wants his men to build on that performance.

He said: “Our second-half performance against Piddletrenthide was excellent and hopefully we can start like that tomorrow and keep it going for the full 90 minutes.

“It would also be nice to have a settled side now for the remaining five games, which would then help us gain the consistency we are looking for.”

Second-placed Portland will host Sturminster Newton United (3pm) while third-bottom Chickerell United Reserves will entertain Okeford United (3pm).
