NICK Crittenden and Jamie Gleeson both look set to travel to basement boys Thurrock this afternoon (3pm).

The midfield duo came through training unscathed on Thursday night and Alan Knight is delighted to have them back.

The Dorchester Town boss told Echosport: “As long as Nick doesn’t suffer any reaction he could feature and there is a chance Jamie could be on the bench.

“That was Glees’ first run out for a while and he came through it well. He is going to travel but the final decision on him will probably not be made until the last minute.

“Having those two back would be a bonus and hopefully we can go there and come away with a positive result.”

Meanwhile, question marks still hang over the fitness of Jamie Symes and Rico Wilson.

Knight went on to add: “Jamie is still a no-go and is waiting on results of an illness while Rico is very much a case of wait and see. If he feels okay he could be involved.”

Alex Godrey and Antony Carlile are both on standby should Knight need them as the Magpies continue to look to bring through talent from the reserves.

Knight said: “Alex got on against Boreham Wood last Saturday and did well, and he would have probably got a bit of game time at Woking in midweek had he been available.

“Antony and Steven Walker have also been on the bench a couple of times so all three of those lads are certainly on the periphery and we will be looking to give them some minutes between now and the end of the season.”

The Magpies sit ninth in Blue Square Bet South while rock-bottom Thurrock have claimed just 19 points from a possible 99 so far this season.
