ALAN Knight described Saturday’s disappointing display at rock-bottom Thurrock as the worst of his tenure.
The Magpies slumped to a 2-0 defeat at Ship Lane as Blue Square Bet South’s lowest placed side ended a dismal run of 16 games without victory.
Goals from Teddy Nesbitt and Lee Boylan, the second coming from the spot, also saw Dorchester suffer successive defeats for the first time since late October.
And in the aftermath of Saturday’s reversal, Knight insists everyone at the club must do better.
He said: “It was probably our worst performance since I have been at the club and it had the feeling of an end of season game where there was nothing to play for.
“We had a good talk after the game and every one of us has got to look at ourselves and we have got to do better. It was unacceptable.
“I don’t want to point fingers at individuals though, as I have to take my share of the blame as much as anyone else.
“We now go into tomorrow’s home game with Chelmsford where hopefully we will get a performance.”
