MARTINSTOWN Cricket Club's youth section are set to resume indoor training at a number of venues in January with sessions run by qualified coaches with a focus on learning new skills and having fun.

The sessions starting are for those under eight to nine years old start on Friday January 12 for eight weeks at Dorchester Middle School.

There are also sessions for those under-13 up to under-18 on Sundays from January 28 for six weeks at the Thomas Hardye School in the lower sports hall.

The youth section goes from strength to strength with all sides achieving honours in 2017.

The under-15s won the league title and reached the semi finals of the County Cup while the under-13s won the Dave Cheffey Cup and the under-11 side won the Archie Masters under-11 cup for the fifth consecutive year.

There were also a number of indoor cricket league honours and a number of players have represented West Dorset and Dorset while some of the players have represented the club's first team who compete in the Dorset Premier League.
