WEYMOUTH FC players and staff made a visit to a food bank, operating from Weymouth Baptist Church.
The players and manager Mark Molesley met Brenda Woodsford, a volunteer at the food bank, which is on the Esplanade, who then showed the Terras around the food stores and explained how the food bank works.
The players presented food collected from all of the playing squad and staff.
Molesley was humbled when visiting the food bank and said: “Meeting Brenda and hearing about the work that’s being done at the food bank has been a great experience for myself and the players.
“We wanted to support a local charity and although Christmas is a great family occasion, it can also be very tough for some people.
“We were all pretty humbled to hear some of Brenda’s stories and to see the wonderful work being done.”
