SUCCESSFUL SYMES: Roxanne Symes receives her Fourth Degree Belt and suit from Master Sahota (ITF Seventh Degree) and Tejunda Sahota (ITF Fifth Degree)
DORCHESTER’S Roxanne Symes is one of the country’s youngest holders of the ITF Fourth Degree Belt after passing with flying colours in Leicester.
The 19-year-old, a member of Dorchester Amateur Boxing Club, spent three months training for the award with regular trips up to Leicestershire to see Master Sahota (Seventh Degree).
Symes is an ITF world champion and has recently opened up her own taekwondo schools and ladies’ fitness classes at the Prince of Wales School in the county town.
Symes’ next action sees her link up with the South West boxing squad in Bristol.
