THIS year, hundreds of plucky swimmers braved the cold temperatures to take a festive dip in the seas off Dorset.
As is festive tradition on these shores, swimmers and crowds of onlookers descended onto the coastline to for the annual swims, with thousands of pounds also being raised for charity.
In a record-breaking year, 278 swimmers took part in the annual Weymouth Christmas Day Harbour Swim.

Dozens of brave souls also took the plunge into the choppy seas off Charmouth, and following the swim were given a hot toddy by local landlords Ian and Karen Phillips, maintaining a 40-year strong tradition.
