PUDDLETOWN 3 ALLENDALE 2
PUDDLETOWN clinched the Dorset Minor Cup after overcoming Allendale in a five-goal thriller at the County Ground.
The villagers took the lead in quick time when Dan Belt got on the end of a Matt Moors corner to slot home.
But the lead only lasted two minutes. David Webb brought things level for Allendale from the penalty spot to make it 1-1 going into the break.
Puddletown flew out of the traps once again in the second half and scored two goals in the space of four minutes after the restart.
Glenn Mathews latched onto another Moors corner and then James Morgan slotted home the third.
Both teams then continued to create chances and, on the hour mark, James Cordial put Allendale back in contention.
However, the villagers hung on to claim the cup which skipper James Boarsnell gratefully accepted from Bob Corben of the Dorset FA.
