FORMERLY Billy the Fish, Shelley’s Plaice, tucked away off Trinity Street in Dorchester, had no trouble luring my companion and I in for a maritime meal to remember.

I LOVE pizza. So when I heard about a wood-fired pizza night on Thursdays at the George in Chideock, a table was booked and a couple of days later my partner and I were heading through the darkness to a pub that I had driven past many times but had never thought to visit.

As my companion and I weaved our way along a country lane towards the Smugglers Inn at Osmington Mills expectations were high.
