A CHEQUE for £3,500 was donated to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance at the February meeting of the Dorvil Business Networking Group.
The money was raised through various fundraising raffles at events throughout December at The George Albert Hotel.
Mandy Childs, operations manager at the hotel presented the cheque to Leanne Colverson, Dorset fundraising coordinator for the air ambulance.
Mandy said: “The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance is a charity very close to my heart and we all applaud the valuable assistance it provides local people in emergency situations. In these hard times, they need all the financial support we can give.”
Dorvil is a business networking group that meets the first Friday of every month at the George Albert Hotel from 7.15am to 8.30am.
It aims to bring businesses in the Dorchester, Yeovil, Bridport and Sherborne areas together.
