CATTISTOCK Tennis Club organised a quiz in the Fox and Hounds on Friday, November 4. There was a tremendous turnout and the evening was enjoyed by all who took part in the challenge. At the same time £199.50 was raised for tennis club funds. Although a close run match, at the end of the evening the team Classic Edition won and our congratulations go to them.

THERE will be a Table Top Sale at Stratton Village Hall on Saturday, November 19 from 11.30am to 2.30pm.

Entrance costs just 50p. There will be something for everyone, including Christmas stocking fillers and lots of bargains. There will also be a raffle, light refreshments and home made cakes for sale.

There are only a few tables left, so hurry if you want to be part of the action.

MELBURY Men’s Breakfasts are held between 8.30am and about 9.45am at the Southern Counties (Clay Pigeon) on the A37.

The cost of breakfast is £7. There is a vegetarian option for those who require it.

EVERSHOT Village Hall is the venue for a Table Top Sale between 11am and 1pm on Saturday, November 19.

All proceeds from this event will go to Hounds for Heroes, a charity supporting injured, disabled and traumatised personnel of the UK Armed Forces and Civilian Emergency Services. This helps funding for dogs specifically trained to live with clients and their families, enhancing their lives both physically and mentally.

IF YOU are planning to get fit and you live within easy travelling distance of Cattistock or Maiden Newton, why not sign up for an aerobics class on a Tuesday evening in Cattistock or on a Wednesday evening in Maiden Newton, both at 7pm.

Classes will operate during term-time only and the cost is £4 per session. Booking is not essential.

The classes will have high and low options and are suitable for all abilities, aimed towards beginners, but challenging enough for those with experience.
