CHARMINSTER is obviously not a very romantic place - as the Valentine supper, which had been organised in aid of Church funds had to be cancelled - lack of interest.
Also to be discontinued are the Martial Arts classes in the village hall on Wednesday evenings.
- THE next WI meeting, on March 11, in the village hall, will be Charminster's ninetieth birthday.
Partygoers should have bought their ticket from the treasurer, Jenni Harrison and rather than dress up like 90-year-olds, as the WI was formed during WWI, the theme will be Patriotic, so dig out your red, white and blue glad rags.
- THE village is ablaze with daffodils - as well as the WI Millennium daffs there is also a plenteous display in the gardens - it's just as well Easter is early this year otherwise the Church's Easter flower decorations might not be so bright!
