JUST a reminder, if you want to book the village hall during the next few months please contact Mrs Lilian Matthews at 40 Cocklands, on 01305 266082, as she now keeps the hall diary.
The theme for the Brownie Pack Holiday was very apt - Christmas - complete with Santa, Santa's Little Helper and full Christmas dinner!
The skittles team are doing well and the quiz teams have taken part in the first round and await the news that (hopefully) they progress to the final in November.
The speaker at the September meeting was Christopher Paton, who has heaps of helpful hints and charts on tracing family history.
The internet has proved to be an immense help for most people to make a start on finding out about their family history.
The next meeting is on Tuesday, October 14, 7.30 pm in the village hall, and the speaker will be Simon Goldsackon autumn colour in the garden.
However, the ringers would like to thank everyone who, by donating or sorting the newspapers over the last few years have helped with this lucrative fundraiser.
But you can still carry on the good work and take your old newsprint to Charminster School.
Just leave them in the front porch, after school on a Tuesday.
