- THE Chickerell Willowbed Hall Management Committee are going to be very busy in August.
They are hosting the Chickerell Flower and Produce Show on Saturday, August 9th and the Chickerell Carnival on Saturday, August 16th.
Hopefully you are all busy growing and baking for the flower and produce show!
Classes include cut flower classes, vegetable and fruit classes, cookery, floral arrangements, handicrafts and photography.
There is also a junior section which includes classes in miniature gardens, an animal made from vegetables, a scary monster that you have made', a drawing or painting and three gingerbread men.
To find out the complete list of all the classes pop into Chickerell Pharmacy or Chickerell Post Office for full details and the entry form.
The forms must be sent to the show secretary, Colin Giles, no later than Wednesday, August 6th. His details are on the forms. Good luck!
The Carnival Day is fast approaching and to make it the best ever they want to see lots of children taking part in the fancy dress competition, lots of pets for the pet show which runs from noon and lots of people just enjoying the entertainment throughout the day.
The day finishes at 7pm this year.
