Chickerell Town Council have started to receive designs for their proposed new play area.

They will be holding an open afternoon so that residents can bring their children along (or children bring your parents and grandparents along!) to have a look at the plans and tell us which equipment you would like to see in the new play area.

You will also have an opportunity to vote for your favourite plan.

We are hoping that the new play area will enable children from 0–14 to have fun with their friends and families.

The open afternoon will run from 3pm until 6.30pm on Thursday, November 12.

Everyone is welcome to attend.

A QUIZ night in aid of the local branch of Samaritans is being held on Friday, November 20th at 7.30pm in the Willowbed Hall, Chickerell.

Tickets are £5 a head and will include a ploughmans supper.

Teams of six can reserve a table by contacting Di Gilliver on 766893.

They ask that you bring your own drinks.

All money raised at this event will go directly to support the work of local Samaritans in Dorset.

Included will be ‘between round games’, a Christmas card stall and a raffle.

Please go along and support this worthwhile cause and have a fun night out.
