Chickerell and Charlestown Townswomens’ Guild are holding their AGM on Tuesday, March 16 at Marshallsay Court at 7.30pm.

They would welcome visitors and also any new members.

ON Saturday, March 20, Dorset Community Action are holding a drop in event at the Willowbed Hall.

Artists will sharing their ideas for the Archaeological area opposite Willowbed Hall.

Everyone is welcome between 11am and 2pm.

CHICKERELL @ Play are very pleased to announce they have reached their target of £8,000, which they were asked to raise to contribute to the overall cost of a new play area in Chickerell.

Well done to everybody involved!

The Town Council is in the process of talking to the playground manufacturers and drawing up final plans which will then be shown at a public consultation event.

The plans will take into account all the comments and votes that were given to them at the open evening last November so look out for your favourite piece of equipment!

CHICKERELL Town Council has gone live with their new web site.

The site can be used to contact the Council, check availability for the Sports Pavilion or Willowbed Hall or just to find out what is happening in the area.

There will be regular updates on the planned play area and MUGA and you can also download the latest agendas for the Town Council monthly meetings.

THE Spirit of Chickerell group will be holding their next village café at the Willowbed Hall on Saturday, April 3.

This will be open from 10am to 12.30pm and they will be serving breakfast and brunch in aid of Help the Heroes.

On the following day, Sunday, April 4 from 10am to 4.30pm there will be a Model Railway Show at the Willowbed, which will also go towards Help the Heroes.

A LUNCH in aid of Weldmar Hospicecare Trust is being held at Willowbed Hall on Saturday, April 10.

Doors will be open at 12 ready to eat at 12.30pm.

They have a delicious sounding menu consisting of beef casserole, fruit crumble and tea or coffee.

Tickets are priced at £5.50 and there will also be a tombola and raffle.

Tickets are available from Hospice shops in Dorchester, Great George Street and St Thomas Street in Weymouth, Joseph Weld Hospice in Dorchester and Trimar Hospice in Weymouth.
