About 80 people crammed into the Sunray on 26th January to listen to the clergy explain how they see things going forward at the church. The attendance of so many showed the depth of feeling in the village regarding the church, and its place within the community. The meeting provided the opportunity for all present to express their concerns about the difficulties facing the church and the community and to air their frustration over the seeming lack of progress over addressing these concerns.

No forward plans were agreed at the meeting, but those present heard that a lottery bid is being made to try and get funding for the church roof to be repaired. Following the consultation for the Osmington Community Plan a small working group had produced a report which addressed the issues raised, and suggested some options for the future, but nothing had been carried forward to date.

Brian Ellis will now be looking at the concerns voiced at the meeting and hopefully work with community to overcome these.
